Cool Roofs

Cool roofs reflect sunlight and heat away from a building, reducing roof temperatures during the summer. While cool roofs deflect some desired heat gain during the winter, the result is positive energy savings throughout their 30-40 year lifetime. Cool roofs provide a number of benefits including:

Federal Rebates - Up to a $500 federal tax credits is available for cool roofs installed on existing homes.

Reduced Energy Use - A cooler roof transfers less heat into your building, it stays cooler and uses less energy for air conditioning.

Longer Life - As a result of being cooler the roof materials have a longer life compared with conventional roof products.

Improved Comfort - Cool roofs can reduce air temperatures inside buildings with or without air conditioning, helping to prevent heat-related illnesses and discomfort.
